If a restaurant offers Michigan wine AT ALL, chances are good that there will be an L Mawby selection. Which is why if you have not had the opportunity to try some, you must head over to Art of the Table this Thursday!

While most of our virtual Michigan wine tour has taken place “up north,” you don’t have to go far to visit wineries.

I recently received a press release for a Brys Estate Wine Dinner at The Boathouse in Traverse City. A quick glance at their website reveals that The Boathouse is committed to farm to table. Given the time of year, I was quite curious to see how the farm to table concept would play out in the menu. Take a look for yourself:

Over the past few years since living in Grand Rapids, I have come to love heading out to Robinette’s. There is always something to do and taste. This weekend, they’re celebrating their 100th anniversary!

One thing I’ve noticed lately is that many restaurants that source locally have an excellent selection of Michigan beer, but wine-not so much.

Whew! What a trip that was, exploring the wine country “Up North.” Let’s take a few days to explore the wine scene at home. If you’re from Grand Rapids, that is. If you’re from elsewhere, these will be great ideas for your next visit!
