Resources

It’s nearly impossible to keep a current list of all the farmer’s markets, CSAs, microbreweries, etc. Luckily there are organizations that do just that. The links below are my “go to” websites when trying to find specific sources. If you know of one that should be added, let me know!

Lists of farmers/CSAs/etc.:

West Michigan Fresh Local Food Guide (link downloads PDF). Last updated 2011. A project of the Greater Grand Rapids Food Systems Council.

Local Harvest. A website where you can search by ZIP code for CSAs, farms, farmer’s markets, restaurants, and more.

Eat Well Guide. A website similar to Local Harvest, you can search for farms, markets, restaurants, and more.

Real Time Farms. A website where you can search for farmer’s markets, artisans, and restaurants. I like that it pulls up a calendar of farmer’s markets in your area that are currently open.

Pick Your Own. Listings of you picks, plus resources and instructions for preserving the bounty.

Eat Wild. Searchable listings for beef, lamb, goats, bison, poultry, pork, dairy…and other wild edibles.
