I’m so excited to see culinary tours popping up in West Michigan. The latest I’ve been made aware of is Hungry Village Tours, which offers both walking and driving tours.
The walking tour explores Saugatuck and Douglas. You’ll learn how the shops came to be, and taste and sip along the way. According to its website, it may include “smoky meats, area award-winning wines, hints of spice, delightful oils, richly roasted coffee, local fruit spreads and bakery breads, plus a local farm market.”
3 Hours, starts and stops at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts
Includes ample samples and sips!
9:00am – 12 noon, every Monday and Friday, May through October
Private groups by appointment

The driving tour is six hours, and includes lunch at Salt of the Earth in Fennville. It changes with the seasons and promises a tour of niche farms in operation, including organic fruits and vegetables, artisan cheese producers, wineries, orchards, a bakery, and a brewmaster.
