This was my second visit to Amore, the first was a few months ago for a Slow Food West Michigan Potawatomi Convivium meeting. When I saw on FaceBook that they were featuring soft-shell crabs and Michigan asparagus, I talked my husband into heading out last Friday.
I suppose it wouldn’t be Memorial Day weekend without rain, but seriously-how is a gal supposed to get her garden planted with this kind of weather? Make the best of it by curling up with some of these posts from other West Michigan bloggers.
Rumor has it that strawberries will be here soon! And, of course, asparagus and rhubarb and spinach have been available at farmer’s markets and roadsides. In case you’ve forgotten over the winter the abundance of local sources for produce, here’s a refresher.
