Special Thanksgiving Baking Class:
Pumpkin Pie From the Ground Up
Want to learn how to REALLY make pumpkin pie the way the pilgrims did? (Well, except for the oven and the blender, and a few other modern details.)

Learn how easy it is to make pumpkin pie from . . . . a pumpkin! Talk about whole foods! We’ll start with a whole organic pumpkin right out of the field and a pile of whole wheatberries. We’ll see how easy it is to grind the wheat, cook the pumpkin, mix it with all the good healthy ingredients –fresh pastured eggs, Organic milk, cream and butter, fresh-ground spices and Voila! a pumpkin pie that’s as ‘from scratch’ as you can get and really good food besides!

Cara Camp, owner of Kayam Farm Kitchen and also one of Nourish’s resident food experts, will design the class so that it’s especially kid-friendly, so give your child have a chance to help make festive food happen! You’ll go home with a pumpkin, a sample, a recipe and a great experience!

Date: November 16, 2011 7:30 pm
Cost: $20 (One child free with each adult, $10 for each additional child.)
