“The Starving Artist,” Chef O’Haire, is a private chef with many years of experience and study. His background and passions lie in Regional French and Italian, performed in the most traditional of methods, and he has a great interest in the foods and flavors of the Caribbean, The Middle East, and Western Asia.
Join him and his team this harvest season for a thrilling modern-meets-classical multi-course culinary adventure at the beautiful Sietsema Orchards in Ada.
As the event draws nearer, the full menu will be available. Tickets are on sale now, and advance purchase is required.
Only 40 seats are available, so make your plans now!
Happy Autumn everyone!
The book to read for October’s meeting is called ‘Best Food Writing 2011′ by Holly Hughes. It is available at the usual places in both paper and e-form. Held at Joyce Hoolsema’s house.
There’s something for everyone in this book: from molecular gastronomy to the omnivore’s dilemma, from meat-free to wheat-free to everything goes. It’s not only about food, but - more importantly - our relationship with food, how it serves us, how we serve it.
You can open it anywhere and enjoy the stories, from the back to the front and everything in between - so no excuse not to read it!
Enjoy the beautiful colors!
