In honor of Michigan wine month, I’d like to draw your attention to Michigan Wines, which is the official website of The Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council, and should be your first stop when exploring Michigan wine!
It’s a great place to get your bearings before heading off to the wineries. The site is chock-full of information such as
- A listing of all the wineries and vineyards, separated out by geographic region so you can plan your tour
- Winery tour maps
- News about Michigan wines
- A calendar of events
- A wine & food section featuring restaurants that carry Michigan wines, plus food pairing ideas
- An online version of the magazine Michigan Wine Country
Since this blog is based in West Michigan, you’ll want to check out the Southwest and Northwest wine scene throughout the month.
