
I realized at brunch the other day that I haven’t posted about Gaia’s on this blog. Crazy! It’s my absolute favorite place to go for a late breakfast. It’s always packed weekend mornings, but it’s worth the wait.

Back when I was a youngster, I always fell in love with the little chicks for sale at places like Tractor Supply Store. I was never allowed to get one. Even though we lived out in the country, I suspect my parents had enough on their hands with four daughters and a potato & onion farm to take care of. So I just had to share this announcement that I recently came across.
The husband and I went to Bistro Bella Vita the other night for the Nourishing Ways fundraiser. I was pleasantly surprised to have excellent service (we must be having a good luck streak lately or something! We have had great service at the last few restaurants we’ve been to). The food was just as wonderful as the service.

It’s been awhile since I did a Made in Michigan post, so I was happy to hear back from John, whom I met at the Make It In Michigan Conference a few months ago. I fell in love with his Rice Pudding.
Initially I was a bit hesitant to give Twisted Rooster a try. I’m all about locally sourced restaurants, but reviews have been mixed. So I had no idea what to expect when my husband and I went there last Friday for dinner.
This Wednesday and Thursday, March 23 and 24, Bistro Bella Vita will donate 20% of their sales to Nourishing Ways of West Michigan if you tell them you’re with the group.
It’s almost spring, and I don’t know about you, but I could use a getaway! My friend Dianna Stampfler sent me information about this foodie event in Boyne Falls. The husband and I are thinking about celebrating our anniversary by participating in this. There is so much to do!
