The Green Gala is Friends of Grand Rapids Parks’ annual fundraiser to support our ongoing mission to protect, enhance and expand parks and public spaces in the City. Visit green-gala.com andfriends ofgrparks.org for additional information.
Guests will be treated to one free signature cocktail, and amazing locally sourced, globally inspired street food from the Sliver Spork Food Truck, The Starving Artist and Bartertown. Michigan wines, Brewery Vivant beer and mixed drinks will be available at the cash bar. We will be able to process credit cards at the event, but cash will help speed up transactions.
Guests will have the opportunity to win some amazing prize packages, capture the event at our interactive photo booth, and be entertained by the Kent County String Band and THE HOUNDS BELOW.
All cups, plates, napkins, straws, food, etc. at this event are compostable materials. There will be labeled bins around the event for compost, recycling and landfill. Members of our Green Patrol will be there to assist you, but please do your part by reusing materials and appropriately disposing of waste to help us keep this a more sustainable event.
Doors open at 7pm. We are using a paperless ticket system, so ticket(s) will be under your name at the registration table if you purchased online. The registration table will be located at 634 Front Ave NW in front of the Plante&Moran/Christman Co. Bldg.
Parking will be available in the 2 surface lots directly across the street. If you are arriving by foot or bike, please visit the registration table on Front Ave first. There is covered parking for bikes inside the event, but you will need your ticket first.

The Green Gala is a semi-formal event. Guests are asked to wear green inspired attire. Remember, it’s August and it’s outside! See pictures from last year’s event to get inspired.
